Vitalis Lens

The Acri.Vitalis lens is a multifocal lens that is designed for positioning over an existing implant. This procedure is often called ' piggy backing' lenses.

The procedure is of benefit to people who have traditional monofocal implants ( requiring spectacles for reading ) but who would prefer to be able to read without spectacles.

The procedure can also correct any ' under or over' correction that took place during initial surgery.

Piggy backing lenses is not new, however this is the first time that a lens has been designed for this purpose.

The eye is made of many delicate structures and it is therefore important that additional implants ( lenses) do not interfere with these structures. The Acri.Vitalis is shaped in such a way, that it does not compromise the integrity of the existing lens.

My vision is perfect, I dont need glasses for anything at all, I can knit, sew, everything. I have never had eyesight as good, not even when I was young. Mrs Bretherton

The results were almost instant. I can only describe it as totally liberating. I was extremely nervous at the thought of having eye surgery, but would still wholeheartedly recommend it Lee Vickers
